Hi Everyone,
Happy Wednesday!!!! This month has been very crazy with the new school year and getting back into the planning mindset. Fall through the New Year tends to be our busiest time of year and we are gearing up for an exciting Fall season! That being said, I want to take a minute to tell you about our exciting October Events.
Franklin Harvest Festival: October 5th, 11 A.M. Main Street and East Central Street – Music, Entertainment, Food, Vendors, Historical Museum Tours, and Children’s Fun! Stop by the FLP table and say hello!
Wine Tasting Event – Estate Planning and Retirement Protection:Wednesday October 8, 2014 – 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Boston Winery, 26 Ericsson St, Dorchester, You’ve worked all your life to get to where you are today, now it’s time to learn how to protect it. This seminar briefly discusses what every estate plan should contain as you head into retirement. There will be a discussion about asset protection as well as the Massachusetts Estate Tax. This is an opportunity to see whether you are protected both financially and legally during your golden years.
Protecting Your Minor Children and Family Workshop, Wednesday, October 8, 2014 – 6:30pm to 8:30pm, Tri-County RVTHS, 147 Pond Street, Franklin, All parents know that it’s a necessity to choose a guardian (“back up parent”) for their child in the event of the unexpected. However, many parents are overwhelmed with making this choice and do not know where to begin. They do not realize that if they fail to select a guardian, the court will “blindly” appoint one. Moreover, if you fail to plan properly, property and assets intended for your children will be subject to the probate process and the time delay and additional costs associated with it. In this workshop, we will discuss guardianship issues in depth and cover how to pass your property responsibly (and legally) to provide care for your children.
Charting New Territory After Divorce, Wednesday October 22nd 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 1600 Boston-Providence Highway, Suite 121, Walpole (Edward Jones Office), No matter how you arrived at this place, life after divorce is unfamiliar and can be filled with unknown emotional hazards. Join us for this free workshop with Debra Bloom, a certified Life Coach and Holistic Healer who has been navigating post-divorce waters for 16+ years. She will offer guidance on adjusting to the changes that often happen after divorce such as, becoming head of household, changing jobs, creating new living arrangements, and new child care responsibilities. As with any big life change, there isn’t only one right way to handle the transition. You will leave this workshop understanding commonalities that many experience during this time of transition and you’ll be provided with techniques to move forward with inspired action.
Pumpkin Stroll October 25 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Bellingham Town Common, Music, refreshments, and fun. Drop off carved pumpkins between 12 and 2 and return to see the common lit up with jack-o-lanterns.
Phew! We work very hard to provide opportunities that offer both fun and education. We know that planning for the future and working through transition is not always easy, thus we work diligently to provide trusted resources and information. So, we are asking for your support. If you know of anybody that could benefit from any of the above workshops or want a little fun, please spread the word by informing others of these events and forwarding this post. We depend on you, our trusted community, to help share our message, and we are hoping that these events are a huge success. Wine, relaxation, education, and candy, we have a little bit for everyone this month. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you and your friends in October!
Until next time,
Amy
