What Happens When Your Phone Is Locked?!

Hi Everyone,

Happy Wednesday!!! I hope you are all enjoying this gorgeous summer weather and are getting out to enjoy yourselves.

Speaking of getting out, have you ever thought of how anybody would contact your loved ones in case of an emergency?  Who would an emergency responder call if something happened while you were at the beach or at the ball park? What happens if your phone is locked? Luckily, the iPhone has a great feature called Medical ID.

Medical ID is located on your iPhone’s Health Tab.  It allows you to list your emergency contacts and other pertinent medical information such as medical conditions or allergies.  You can choose how much or how little of the Medical ID you fill out.  This feature is accessible even if your phone is locked!  Now, emergency responders can gain quick access to your emergency contacts.  Complete instructions on how you can set your Medical ID can be found here: Why You Should Set up Medical ID on Your iPhone.

So, pick-up your phones and set your Medical ID before heading out.  If you need to make sure the rest of your emergency nominations are in order, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Until next time,
